i drove the subaru, husband drove the truck. i indulged in a book on tape whilst braving a blizzard. husband listened to silence and was blinded by said blizzard. it was quite the adventure. but eventually the temperature gauge began to go up, and the snow ceased, and i saw palm trees. (i have a thing for palm trees).
we arrived in the dark, and immediately fell asleep.

other than the unrelenting wind, and k's incredible back pain (courtesy of yours truly) it's very nice to once again be in the desert.
